Abstract
Progression of First Degree Heart Block to Complete Heart Block in an Infant
An infant presenting with a heart murmur at 2 months of age was found to have First degree Heart Block on EKG and this progressed to complete heart block (CHB) at 8 months of age requiring a pacemaker. No known etiology could be found on further investigation. This is our second experience. We have emphasized the importance of follow up of any infant with first degree heart block and also postulated a possible cause for this progression.
