About Congenital Anomalies
Congenital Anomalies, often referred to birth defects/congenital disorders or congenital malformations. Such anomalies is a result from a variety of causes ranging from pregnancy or birth complications to genetic malformations to viral infections in utero, pregnancy loss and reproductive disabilities.
Among maternal and fetal risk factors; parental consanguinity, maternal under nutrition, obesity, positive history of an anomaly in the family, low birth weight, and prematurity which significantly associated with higher frequency of Congenital Anomalies.
