About Drug Action

It is the effect of drug on various parts of the body. The drugs affect at the rate of existing biological function. It can increase or decrease the rate of biochemical reactions inside the body. The initial requirement for drug action is adequate drug delivery to the target site. There are four types of drugs action when they are bringing with complex interactions with molecules of living organisms. They are: Molecular. Cellular, tissue and system. There are various mechanism of drug action. They are: Physical mechanisms, Chemical mechanisms, Drug- receptor interactions, Drug- enzyme interactions, Drug- channel interactions, Miscellaneous mechanisms. The most common route for drug administration in treatment of diseases is by intravenous infusion
