A New Type of Amino-modified Polysiloxane Applied in Pigment Red 122 Dispersion

A kind of epoxy modified polysiloxane was synthesized by hydrosilylation reaction with hydrogen-containing siloxane and allyl glycidyl ether in the presence of the chloroplatinic acid, and then various types of amine polarities were grafted on the epoxy group. The structure of the obtained amino-modified alkoxyorganosilane was characterized by IR technique and NMR technique, and used as a dispersant in pigment red 122. The viscosity, dispersion extent, and the particle size of pigment dispersion were determined and the results showed that the above dispersant could bring to the lower viscosity, a better dispersing stability, and a smaller particle size of pigment red 122 when compared to the commercial cosmetic dispersant DC5562.
