The Effect of One Month Yoga Intervention on Perceived Stress and Anxiety in Pregnant Women
The effect of one month yoga intervention on state anxiety and perceived stress in pregnant women (n=40) was examined. The participants were divided into two groups- yoga and control group. Yoga group was given one month yoga intervention of asanas, relaxation technique, praṇayama, and AUM meditation (thirty minutes) for one hour every alternate day. Results indicated that yoga intervention based AUM meditation contributed significantly to reduce the perceived stress and anxiety in pregnant women.
