Biography
Dr Amr ElShaer has an intensive research experience in the area of oral drug delivery. After finishing his MSc in 2009, Amr decided to pursue a PhD in the area of molecular pharmaceutics in order to visualise how pharmaceutical excipients influence the transcription patterns of transporter network and metabolic enzymes during drug uptake across intestinal membranes. Afterwards, Dr ElShaer joined Aston University for few months as a research follow to experience other molecular biology techniques. Prior to taking his lectureship role at Kingston University, Amr joined Redx Pharmaceuticals to work as DMPK Scientist.
