Biography
Dr. Schiehser received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from Drexel University. She completed a pre-doctoral Clinical Psychology (Neuropsychology specialization) internship at Tulane University School of Medicine and a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellowship at UCSD. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UCSD, a faculty member in the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology; a Research Psychologist at the Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System, a faculty affiliate of the Clinical Research Unit of the VA San Diego Center of Excellence for Stress and Mental Health (CESAMH), and a neuropsychologist at the UCSD Movement Disorder Center and UCSD Neuropsychological Associates.
Research Interest
Neuropsychological functioning, brain imaging (fMRI), and cognitive rehabilitation of individuals with movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease) and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI).
