Biography
Professor Erhabor Idemudia was born on the 24th September, 1963 at Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. He obtained his BSc (Hons) (Psychology), MSc (Clinical Psychology) and PhD (Clinical Psychology) from the University of Ibadan in 1986, 1990 and 1995 respectively. Based on the academic recruitment policy of the University of Ibadan, he was recruited in 1992 as a lecturer in the Department of Psychology being the overall best MSc student in his class. His PhD thesis is titled “Psychosocial factors Determining Psychological Disorders among Prison Inmates in Nigeria: Implications for Treatment Intervention”
Research Interest
Research interests include Psychopathology in vulnerable groups-including accessibility and equity to health, addiction, psycho-corrections and psychotherapy, race, social movements, and healthcare policies. Clinical interests include adult mental health, childhood and adolescent disorders including deviant and criminalisation of children/adolescents into adulthood.
