Biography
Dr. Grijalva-Chon obtained his B.S. in Oceanology at Autonomous University of Baja California (Mexico) and awarded the M.S. and Ph.D. in Oceanology-Marine Ecology at Center of Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada (Mexico). He was a Visiting Professor in the Ocean Research Institute at University of Tokyo in 1992. He is currently a Professor-Researcher in the Department of Scientific and Technological Research at University of Sonora (Mexico) since 1986. He has published 30 peer reviewed papers
Research Interest
Dr. Grijalva-Chon is interested in studying host-pathogen interactions under different environmental conditions on species used in aquaculture such as shrimp and mollusks. Also, it is of interest to him the study of genomic variants and their relationship to the infective potential.
