Hakan Öztürk was born in Mersin on 8th of November in 1967. He graduated from Tarsus American School in 1985. He graduated from Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1992 and became a medical doctor. He worked as a GP in fi›rnak in 1993. He earned his PhD in Anatomy at Hacettepe University in 1997. In 1999 he started to work at the Anatomy Department of Faculty of Medicine at Mersin University as an assistant professor. He became associate professor in 2002 and professor in 2007. He is still working at Mersin University. He is interested in macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the central nervous system, axonal pathfinding and neurodevelopment.
