Biography

Dr. Rajekar completed his basic surgical and cancer surgery training in Pune and then went on to specialize further. He did a fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Upper GI Surgery at the renowned 'Wakefield Gastroenterology Centre' in Wellington, New Zealand. He further went on to complete training in Hepatobiliary and Living Donor Liver Transplant Surgery at the 'Asian Centre for Liver Diseases and Transplantation' in Singapore and at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. He trained in Cadaveric Liver and other Abdominal Organ Transplantation in New York at the esteemed 'Mount Sinai School of Medicine' at New York University. After returning to India in Jan 2010 he worked at the eminent PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute for Medical Education and Research) in Chandigarh, and established their Liver Transplant Program, performing 5 transplants in the first 18 months. He joined Ruby Hall Clinic and set up the 'Centre for Liver and Pancreatic Diseases' to cater to liver, biliary and pancreatic diseases. He is well trained in complex Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and Transplant Surgery.
