Biography

As a pulmonologist, Dr. Malish specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases involving the lungs and respiratory tract. As a critical care specialist, he is an expert in the diagnosis and management of life threatening conditions in critically ill or injured patients. Additionally, as a sleep specialist, he is highly skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders (e.g., sleep apnea, insomnia, etc.).

He attended medical school at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. He did his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. Also at USC, he completed fellowships in pulmonology and critical care medicine. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in sleep medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. This high level of specialized training is rare among sleep specialists, which establishes Dr. Malish as one of the top experts in the U.S. in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

Most recently, Dr. Malish practiced at Mayo Health System-Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato, Minnesota. However, just prior to coming to Kingman, he served as a locum (temporary) critical care physician in the intensive care unit at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
