Biography
Assistant Professor Kaniz Fatema completed her Master of Nutritional Science in 2004 from Human Nutrition Unit, School of Molecular & Microbial Biosciences, The University of Sydney, Australia. Master of Science in Food and Nutrition in 1995 from The Home Economics College, The University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and Bachelor of Science with honours in Food and Nutrition in 1994 from The Home Economics College, The University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at Bangladesh Institute of Health Sciences. Her international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. Her research interests as an Assistant Professor reflect in her wide range of publications in various national and international journals. She serves as a member of various associations like European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA). Nutrition Society of Bangladesh (NSB), Endocrine Society of Bangladesh, (BES) Asian Network of Research on Anti-diabetic Plants (ANRAP).

Kaniz Fatema areas of interest are Epidemiology, Epidemiology and Public Health, Nutrition and Dietetics, Allied Health Science, Diabetes, Obesity Epidemic, Metabolic Syndrome, Obesity.
