Dr. Keisuke Hosokawa is a scientist investigating the environment in the Earth's upper atmosphere by using experiments with ground-based radars, optical instruments, and satellite. In particular, he is interested in the impact of the upper atmospheric environment on human technology. His research sometimes takes him to the high arctic region to carry out observations.

He completed a doctorate in solar-terrestrial physics at Department of Geophysics, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University. He is now an associate professor in Department of Communication Engineering and Informatics, The University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo.
