Biography
Dr. Kenyon Tweedell is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame IN. Dr. Tweedell complete his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Zoology/Physiology at the U. of Illinois (Urbana). He then worked as Research Associate in the Control Systems Laboratory, U. of Illinois, the U. of Maine and as Investigator at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA. He served as Associate and Full Professor at the U.of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, IN. Dr. Tweedell has authored publications in various journals and books. His publications reflect his research interests in marine organisms,embryology, tumor cell biology (amphibia) and stem cell biology. Dr. Tweedell is a member of Sigma Xi, Society for Developmental Biology and the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole.
Research Interest
His research interests are in oogenesis, regeneration, transmittable malignacies (Lucke carcinoma), spawning and stem cell biology.
