Dr. Laila Farhood is Professor of Psychiatry-Mental Health Nursing in Faculty of Medicine at American University of Beirut, Lebanon
Research Interest
Research Focus & Areas of Interest:
- Impact of trauma on the physical and psychological functioning of Lebanese individuals, families and communities.
- Assessment of PTSD, depression & general health status in war trauma victims (POW’s and civilian populations)
- Intervention studies in South Lebanon: Cognitive Behavioral Group Therapy for trauma victims; school-based mental health educational programs to parents and teachers of students.
