Luiz A Carneiro Dalbuquerque obtained Degree in Medicine from Taubate Medical School of Taubaté Mercy Fellowship (1974), PhD in Digestive System Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo (1985), Free-Teaching in Digestive Surgery at the Faculty of medicine, University of São Paulo (1997), Full professor of Organ Transplantation Digestive System of the Department of Gastroenterology, Faculty of medicine, University of São Paulo (2008) and Head of the Department of Gastroenterology of the Medical School of the University of São Paulo (2012). He is currently Director of Transplantation and FMUSP Clinical Hospital Liver Surgery Service, Full Professor of Transplantation Unit Organs Digestive FMUSP, Head of the Department of Gastroenterology, Medical School, University of São Paulo and Professor Responsible LIM 37 - Medical Research Laboratory - USP Liver Transplantation. He is the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chirurgie Digestive Area, Member of the Department of Gastroenterology Council and Representative of the Congregation of the Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo.
