Professor Kudo has been a member of the ILCA (International Liver Cancer Association) Governing Board since 2009 and president of Kinki University Medical Center since 2008. He has published over 500 international scientific peer review papers in well-regarded journals and about 800 scientific papers in Japan-based publications. 

  His research interest lies in the diagnosis and treatment of HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma).
