Biography
Michael J. Alexander, MD, FACS, is the Director of the multidisciplinary Cedars-Sinai Neurovascular Center involving microsurgery, endovascular therapy, stroke neurology, stereotactic radiosurgery, as well as genetics and epidemiologic studies.
Dr. Alexander is a highly experienced neurosurgeon, board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, with subspecialty expertise in endovascular neurosurgery, as well as vascular and skull base neurosurgery. Dr. Alexander has built a world-class Neurovascular Center at Duke University as the director of the center, and has become one of the busiest endovascular neurosurgeons in the country.
He has an esteemed international reputation, giving invited lectures in Europe, Asia, and across North America regarding his clinical expertise in the treatment of complex aneurysms by minimally invasive techniques, carotid and intracranial artery angioplasty and stenting for the prevention of stroke, and simulator training for endovascular neurosurgery
