Graduated 1982　from　Nagoya　University School of Medicine. Awarded the Degree of Medical Science at　Nagoya University School of Medicine in 1990 and was a Visiting Fellow, at Clinical Psychobiology Branch, National Institute of Mental Health. He served as an Assistant Professor, at department of Psychiatry, Fujita Health University School of Medicine in 1995,and as a Professor and Chairman, at department of Psychiatry, Fujita Health University School of Medicine in . 1998.In 2003 till date he serves as Professor and Chairman, at department of Psychiatry, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine
