Dr. Orlando Martins is currently working as Lecturer at the Dentistry Department of the Medical Faculty (University of Coimbra - Portugal) where he completed his Master in Science thesis on bone substitutes. He is a PhD student at the same University where he develops research in the field of peri-implantitis. Dr. Orlando Martins has authored some publications in various journals. His publications reflect his research interests in peri-implantitis and bone substitutes. Dr. Orlando Martins is vice-president of the Portuguese Society of Periodontology and Implants (SPPI) and serving as a member on European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) and also on European Association for Osseointegration (EAO). He is currently in charge of ongoing project regarding peri-implant tissues evaluation on compromised animal model. Dr Orlando Martins is awarded by the Portuguese Society of Periodontology and Implants and by the Portuguese Society of Stomatology and Dental Medicine.
