Biography
Pramod has a masters’ degree in Biodiversity and Conservation, from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi and professional working experience in diverse fields related to conservation biology, environmental impact assessment, natural resources management and climate change in the Himalaya. Notable contributions Pramod has made include assessing human-wildlife conflict in Kanha-Pench and Nagzira-Navegaon corridors, impacts of slash-and-burn agriculture on forest ecosystems in Garo hills and cumulative impact assessment of hydro-power projects in Alaknanda-Bhagirathi basin of the Himalaya. He is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. Pramod has also done a professional certificate course on “Governance of Landscape, Forest and People” from Wageningen University, the Netherlands and his expertise is in geospatial technology; mapping and modeling landscape and habitats.
