R A Balikai is a Professor for Department of Agricultural Entomology, University of Agricultural Sciences, Karnataka, India.  He received a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Agricultural Entomology in the year of 2002. He is a graduated in agriculture in the year of 1981, with an immediate post-graduation in agriculture in the year of 1984.  He served as a Professor for 10 years) in Department of Agricultural Entomology, University of Agricultural Sciences, Karnataka, India. As a Professor, he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in Agricultural Entomology. His research interests, as a Professor lie in Integrated Insect Pest Management in field and Horticultural Crops; Crop Resistance to Insects, Evaluation of New Molecules, Insect Biodiversity.
