Biography

Dr. Richard D. Parker, Associate Professor of Business, also serves as the Chairman of the Department of Marketing in the Phillips School of Business at High Point University. He earned his B.A., MPA and Ph.D. from The University of Alabama and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. His areas of specialization are tourism marketing, international marketing, Canadian studies, marketing communications and leadership communications.

Research Interest

Some of his past research includes studies of Internet tourism marketing in Canada, the incorporation of Canadian Studies into international business programs, marketing communication efforts by small businesses, using film to enhance business education and the effectiveness of student consulting projects.
