S. Roy is a Professor at All India Network Project on Jute & Allied Fibres, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal, India.  As a scientist, he is a recipient of many awards for his valuable contributions and discoveries in Plant science. His research interests lie in Character Association, Genetic Variability, Path Analysis, Roselle. He is the Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.
