Biography

Satish Balkrishna Verulkar is a Professor for Department of Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, India.  He received a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in plant breeding from GB Pant Univ of Agri and Tech, India in the year of 1996. He did his M.Sc. in Plant Breeding and Genetics from College of Agriculture, India in the 1987.  He served as a Professor for more than 25 years in Department of Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, India.  As a Professor, he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in plant breeding. His research interests, as a Professor lie in Diversity, Flax, Linum usitatissimum, Molecular markers. He is the Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise, as a Professor credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.
