Satya Prakash is a Professor and Head at Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut, India.  He pursued Master (M.Sc. Ag Hort) and doctorate (Ph.D Hort.) degrees from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, India. He Joined G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar as Jr. Scientist (Hort) in 1985 and served the University for more than 16 years in the capacity of Jr. Scientist and Sr. Scientist. During this period mainly engaged in temperate fruit research and UG and PG teaching. As a Scientist, he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in agriculture. His research interests, as a Scientist lie in heritability, genetic advance, coefficient of variation papaya, yield. He is the Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise, as an Scientist credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.
