Biography

Prof. Simone Maurea is currently working as Associate Professor at the University Federico II of Napoli, Italy. Prof. Simone Maurea received his Doctoral degree on 1986 from the University Federico II of Napoli, Italy. Prof. Simone Maurea received his Board in Nuclear Medicine on 1989 from the University Federico II of Napoli, Italy. Prof. Simone Maurea received his PhD degree on 1995 from the University La Sapienza of Rome, Italy. Prof. Simone Maurea received his Board in Radiology on 1997 from the University SUN of Napoli, Italy. He worked initially as Vising Fellow in the Nuclear Medicine Department, NIH, Bethesda, Maryland, USA, since July 1989 to Agust 1991, and then, since September 1991 to 1992, in the Radiology Department of the Ascalesi Hospital in Napoli, and, from 1993 to 2002, in the Institute of Cancer of Napoli, Italy, Nuclear Medicine Department; successively until now served, initially as Researcher and then as Associate Professor since 2011 of Diagnostic Imaging, at the University of Federico II in Napoli, Italy. Prof. Simone Maurea has authored many full publications (over 100) in various journals and books; his publications reflect his research interests in Integrated Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology and Nuclear Medicine). Prof. Simone Maurea is serving as a member or fellow in Italian Association of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine; he is currently in charge of ongoing scholarly project ragarding diagnostic imaging at the University of Federico II in Napoli, Italy. Prof. Simone Maurea is awarded or honored by University degli Studi di Napoli (1989), by Society Italiana di Radiologia Medica (1996), by Facolty di Medicina e Chirurgia dell'University Federico II di Napoli (1997), by Lega Italiana Tumori (1999), by CIS-Schering Nuclear Medicine (2001) and by Associazione Italiana di Medicina Nucleare (2002).
