Dr. Stephen D. Lucas is the Medical Director of Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Shands at University of Florida. He is also the Chief for Regional Anesthesiology and Perioperative Pain Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology. Dr. Lucas received his MD degree from University of Florida College of Medicine Gainesville. Formerly Dr. Lucas served as the Director of Obstetric Anesthesia at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital, Director of Interventional Pain Services at Pain Consultants of East Tennessee and Medical Director, Operating Rooms, Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. He participated as a reviewer for the several journals including American Journal of Infection Control, Journal of Clinical Anesthesia, Pain Medicine, and Journal of Clinical Outcomes Management.
