Stina Thorstensson is a registered nurse and midwife. She has experience working in various parts of the health care system, mostly in childbirth as maternity care, childbirth and maternity care but also in youth counseling and supervision. Since 2003, Stina works as a teacher at the University of Skövde, School of Health and Education. Stina has pursued his graduate studies at the Health and Medical Sciences, Örebro University and his doctorate 26 September 2012.

Stina's research concerns the midwife and the school nurse's professional support that includes support in parenting and parental child interaktion.Stina belongs to the research group Women, children family.
