Mr. Pham graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical School in 1991. After completed his further general surgical and urological training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Medical Centre, he undertook further urological research and teaching at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and The University of Queensland in Brisbane. In 2001, he gained both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Foundation Travelling Fellowship and the Urological Society of Australasian Travelling Fellowship to spend time at the Institute of Urology in London before commencing his private urological practice in the South-East region of Victoria in 2002.  Currently, he is a consultant urologist at Monash Health - Monash Medical Centre - Melbourne - Australia
