Biography
Victor Hugo Aquino Brazil, Graduated in Biochemistry - Faculty of Chemical Sciences (1990), National University of Asuncion, Paraguay;Masters in Basic and Applied Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, USP (1998); Doctorate in Basic and Applied Immunology by the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, USP (2002); Postdoctoral studies at the Medical Clinic Department of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, USP (2002-2004). In September 2004 it was approved first in the competition for filling a post of Professor in Integral Dedication scheme for Teaching and Research (RDIDP), with the Department of Toxicological Analysis Clinics and Bromatological the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Black, USP, in the area of Virology, and, since January 2005, responsible for Virology discipline in undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from FCFRP-USP. Considering their participation in teaching, research and extension, in September 2010, obtained in open procedure, the title of Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Analysis, Toxicological and Bromatological, for Virology knowledge area, occupying since then the position of Associate Professor FCFRP. In June 2013, she had the career progression adopted by the Committee of Sector Evaluation of Biological Sciences at USP II to level 2 of Associate Professor career.
Research Interest
Applied Microbiology, with emphasis in Virology, acting on the following topics:. Flaviviruses, Orthobunyavirus, herpesvirus, viral phylogeny, quantitative PCR, evaluation of the antiviral activity of natural and synthetic compounds.
