VILARDELL FRANCISCO Vilardell, president doctorFrancesc Macia and the Hospital de Sant Pau, was born in 1926, finished high school with award Extraordinary (1943) and graduated in Medicine at the University of Barcelona with honors(1949). Following the family tradition, entered Saint Paul as a physician assistant school Digestive Pathology who led a great teacher,Francesc Gallart, combining this task the medical doctor on duty at the hospital del Mar.In 1963 wins the contest of Director School of Digestive Pathology Hospital St. Paul, which continues to position its retirement in 1996.In 1979 he was appointed Deputy Director of Teaching and then director general of the Ministry of Health to organize studies MIR (1979-1982). Doctor Honoris Causa of several universities and was awarded the Cross of St. George, the Trueta medal and the Grand Cross of Health.
