Dr. Xingshun Xu is currently working as a neurologist at Department of Neurology, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University at Suzhou City, China. Dr. Xu received his medical doctoral degree in 1996 and PhD degree from East Tennessee State University in 2007. After Dr. Xu completed his postdoctoral training at Emory University, he then worked at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and served as a professor in the Institute of Neuroscience at Soochow University, Suzhou City, China. Dr. Xu has authored more than 30 publications in various journals and books. His publications reflect his research interests in stroke and depression. Dr. Xu is also a member of editorial board of the journal Neurotoxicity Research. He is currently in charge of several ongoing grants from National Nature Science Foundation of China.

Dr. Xingshun Xu research focuses on clinical and basic research on ischemic stroke and depression.
