Dr. Hammad Afzal Kayani has completed his PhD degree in Biotechnology from university of Karachi, in 2015 through a “HEC Indigenous Scholarship Program”. The title of his research was ‘Biotransformation of terpenes using medicinal Labiates and fusion effect on the products’. His area of expertise is plant tissue culture, natural product chemistry, biotransformation, protoplast isolation and fusion. Dr. Hammad has published 9 research papers in the field of Biotechnology. He is affiliated with SZABIST since 2014. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Life Sciences.

Objectives: Depression amongst undergraduates has been widely reported, however its correlates have been inadequately identified. Furthermore, a comparison, between the two most stressful curriculum is lacking. We aimed to highlight the prevalence and predictors associated with depression in Undergraduate Medical and Engineering students, with the hope of guiding mental health experts to implement policies that would benefit said individuals.
