Conjunctival Growth Extending onto the Cornea? Think Beyond Just A Pterygium!

Ocular surface squamous neoplasia (OSSN) is the most common ocular surface tumor in adults, the diagnosis of which rests on the histopathological examination of the excised lesion. It has a varied clinical presentation and can be confused with, pterygium, pingueculitis, conjunctival keratosis, or chronic atypical conjunctivitis. Though a slow growing tumour that rarely metastasises, however it has the capacity to cause extensive local tissue destruction.
