Biography
Dr. Burak TURGUT received his education on Medicine in Firat University, Faculty of Medicine, in Elaz??, Turkey between 1989-1995. He completed his residency training on ophthalmology in Department of Ophthalmology at Firat University, Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He worked as an ophthalmologist in Ophthalmology Clinic of Elazi? State Hospital between 2002 and 2006 years. He entered to the Department of Ophthalmology at Firat University as a teaching staff

Interleukin-11: A Novel Agent in Retinal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury

Objective: To investigate the protective effect of recombinant human IL-11 (rhIL-11) administered in a systemic manner on retina tissue during ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury in a guinea pig model.
