Carla Silva has a PhD in Tourism from the University of Aveiro, a MSc in Social Sciences from the ISCTE and a degree in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Lisbon.She is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Technology and Management, Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, Portugal, at the Management Department. She lectures under graduated and graduated courses of Tourism, Marketing, and Tourism Management. Presently, she is coordinator of the Master in Tourism Management.Her research area is tourism and her scientific interests include culture of consumption, mountain and nature-based tourism with special interest in tourism motivations and tourism imagery.
