Biography
Twenty-five patients with ESRD and 50 apparently healthy adults were recruited for the study. Haematocrit, haemoglobin concentration (Hb), red blood cell count (RBC), red cell indices, white blood cell count (WBC) and platelet count were assessed on patients, and control blood samples using automated haematology analyser.

Effect of Haemodialysis on Some Haematological Parameters in Patients with End-Stage Renal Failure

Background: End stage renal disease (ESRD) is the final stage of chronic renal failure and the patients normally depend on haemodialysis for the elimination of water and metabolic wastes. The objective of the study was to assess the effect of haemodialysis on haematological parameters.
Methodology: Twenty-five patients with ESRD and 50 apparently healthy adults were recruited for the study.
