Caesarean Section Epidemic: A Cause for Concern

Increased safety of caesarean section operation has led to increase in the incidence to an alarming level. Currently it is the most common surgery performed in females worldwide. It is reported to > 30 % in some of the cities in India. WHO had issued statement that 10-15 % rate of caesarean section is medically justified.
