Dr Keiji Sugiura is a director of department of Environmental Dermatology and Allergology, Daiichi Clinic in Japan. He graduated from postgraduate school of Fujita Health University and obtained Ph.D. degree in 2001. After then, he studied about cutaneous allergy and skin surgery at Nagoya University School of Medicine, and he researched about histopathology and Langerhans cells of dermatoses at the Institute for Comprehensive Medical Science, Pathological Cytology, Fujita Health University. His main research area is Langerhans cell in cutaneous disease and specialty is skin surgery and cutaneous allergy.

Many physicians have warned of the risks of UV exposure during outdoor exercise. Outdoor exercise under sunlight, however, has not only adverse effects, but also many physical advantages. These include improved mental health, reduced mental stress, bone remodelling and increased muscle strength by increasing Vitamin D (25(OH) D3) levels, improved metabolism of glucose and lipids, growing up muscle mass and better skin by increased cortisol. Cortisol is also effective for antiaging by increasing antiinflammatory factors, up-regulation of antioxidant enzymes, and improved skin blood flow by heating.
