Effect of Warning Poster on Sharps Containers Use by Nurses

Injuries caused by needles and sharp objects are among the main causes of blood deadly infections for healthcare providers. One of the effective ways to prevent needle stick injury is proper disposal of the needles and correct use of sharps containers. Despite abundant training given to nurses, different studies show that nurses are still indifferent to this matter. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of warning poster on the use of sharps containers by nurses working in Milad Hospital, Kashan, Iran, 2012.
