Maysaa El Sayed Zaki has obtained her Ph.D in Clinical Pathology from Mansoura University. She served as an Assistant and Associate professor at Mansoura University. She is now currently serving as a Professor at Mansoura University.

Background: Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is a small RNA virus and the etiological agent for hepatitis E. HEV is usually enterically transmitted virus; however parenteral transmission is a suggested risk factor especially in endemic areas.
