I am a member of the Cancer Control Program at the OSUCCC ? James, where my research focuses on communication issues associated with cancer prevention and control. I am interested in how to improve the health of minority and underserved populations by providing information at the appropriate literacy level. My current research projects focus on improving colon cancer screening rates and developing HPV vaccine educational interventions. I have co-authored many articles in well-respected publications, including Women & Health, American Journal of Public Health, International Journal of Gynecological Cancer and Journal of Community and Supportive Oncology.

Objective: There is growing interest in human papillomavirus (HPV) self-testing as a potential cervical cancer screening strategy, yet little is known about women’s views on different self-test devices.
