Objective: Determine if the differential presence of bacteria within individual patients with CRS supports a bacterial role in the pathogenesis of CRS.

Methods: A prospective series of adult patients with unilateral sinus disease on computed tomography undergoing primary endoscopic sinus surgery was studied.
