Dr. Neomi Shah was recruited at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine (MMC/AECOM) after completing her fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep at Yale University School of Medicine. Her post-doctoral research identified sleep apnea as a risk factor for coronary artery disease related events. She seeks to elucidate the complex relationship between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and coronary artery disease, especially in the setting of an acute myocardial infarction.
