Biography

Dr. Nikolaos Bilalis. Professor, Director of CAD Lab. Professor Bilalis joined the Technical University of Crete in 1992 as an Associate professor and then as Professor. He worked for 2 years in the R&D department of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry responsible for CAD/CAM/CAPP developments and for 3 years as a director of Athens Innovation Centre, responsible for technical guidance of SME’s in CAD/CAM training and implementation.

Can 3D Virtual Prototype Conquer the Apparel Industry?

A scenario of an apparel industry without paper fashion drawings which become patterns and then cut and sewn fabric to end up to a prototype is too optimistic.
