Background: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a cluster of metabolic abnormalities that strongly associated with the development of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus T2DM. There are an increasing number of metabolic syndrome (MetS) patients worldwide, and there is no exception in Iraq.
