Present study is aimed to see the effect of chromosome morphology of the parent species of cotton on the morphology and viability of pollen in F1 hybrids and allopolyploids. The paper presents the ideograms of chromosomes of some species of the section Magnibracteolata Tod. including most of the drought-resistant tetraploid species in this subsection G. tomentosum.
