Biography

Richard Brown holds Honorary Associate Professor positions at ISSR and in the School of Economics at the University of Queensland. He held positions in the School of Economics at UQ from 1991 to 2020. Richard’s areas of specialization include applied cost-benefit analysis, non-market valuation methodologies, and, international migration with a focus on the impacts on poverty and inequality among migrant-sending countries and communities. He is co-author of an internationally acclaimed textbook: Cost-Benefit Analysis: Financial and Economic Appraisal using Spreadsheets, 2nd Edition, Routledge, 2016 (with UQ Emeritus Professor, Harry Campbell).
